  10. – For mdx use DAEMON Tools Lite – it’s free, download it from the developer’s site but remember to uncheck third party adware during installation.

    – For passwords use ‘akai’ for Akai CDs, ’emu’ for E-MU, ‘roland’ for Roland.

  11. Is there another way to convert the MDX file to an ISO on the Mac? Daemon Tools won’t open the The Club 50 Foundations MDX file and seems to be missing a lot of the options available on the PC version…

  24. Does anyone know how to open/extract the Roland L-CD1 S-50 Factory Library iso? I’ve tried the usual method (Daemon Tools Lite + CDXTRACT 4.5) but it doesn’t seem to work. Am I missing something?

  27. hey , good collection, but nothing to hear!.
    i install daemon tools, all the cds got a error message, can’t mount non of the cds, mdx format is not good to me.
    can you convert this mdx images to iso file?.
    the only nrg file that works is the roland s-550 factory library.

  30. There are multiple ways to use them. Either drag and drop into Live 8/9/10 (not 11) or drag into Kontakt up to version 5 (6 removed this functionality) or extract them with CDXtract OR if you NEED to mount them you need to use Daemon Tools Lite and specify the drive type as IDE. I’m using these with the official Roland tool to convert S700 discs to Fantom-X format and the tool only worked when mount the ISOs in a virtual IDE drive.
